kiss me like an overdramatic actor who's starving for work

Hello Summer! Hello New York City. I am sorry for the lack of posts. I have been academically drained for weeks. I have a few days off now and I am currently in the process of apartment hunting (not fun anymore). Then it's goodbye to summer and hello to summer school.

All I want to do is watch old films with Audrey Hepburn or online shop when it rains in the city. Hahh. What do you favor when the sky is shedding tears?

the girl who blocked her own shot.

You are calm & reposed, let your beauty unfold.
Pale white like the skin stretched over your bones.
Spring keeps you ever close.
You are second-hand smoke.
You are so fragile & thin, standing trial for your sins.
Holding onto yourself the best you can.
You are the smell before rain.
You are the blood in my veins...

BLACK MAGIC & YOUR TWO DOLLAR LOVE.

A collection of beautiful dreary photos that inspired me lately; a precise reflection of my current mood. Life will always have its highs & lows.

I've been trying to become more extroverted this year by filling the empty spaces in my life with new challenges. I have to look at the world a different way each day to realize that it is possible to become someone. Grabbing onto entities that are considered your precious stones in life will hold you back from pursuing your dream. Sometimes it is better if you just...let go.

A LITTLE LOVE & FAITH.

Dorothea Lange: She views America's hardship in such a beautiful free way.

On Friday I went to the MoMa to see if her art work was there (it was!). Anyway, I needed some inspiration in life so I go to museums to get my mind off things. Little did I know, there was an exhibit of Andy Warhol's motion pictures. This later inspired me to watch Factory Girl (one of my favorite movies)! The museum is always a place to go to free yourself. I should have realized that years ago... Happy Monday!

LOVE'S NOT A GRAVE, IT WON'T DECAY ON YOU.

you know you're getting old when everything from your adolescent youth days began to to fade and diminish away...it's a sad ending when it's all gone.

below are photos i took long long ago:

i am obsessed with anything heart-shaped or anything that will form into one.
photos i took and processed in b&w at my high school's dark room.
my favorite sushi roll and restaurant=gone.
old adventures with friends while running into closed galleries.

over-accessorizing. this was on a mannequin/form.
my grandma's old boombox.
capturing anything on film used to amuse me; not so much anymore.
almost macro photo of a bumble bee on my very first camera.
an ant hill. i used to destroy them with my shoes. i was so evil.
old friends modeling two dresses i designed/created without a pattern or a form. i would just measure and sew away. i'd be a crazy designer.

I look at my life now and just know that i will reminisce all over again.

ALL THE WALLS COME TUMBLING DOWN...

"You really shouldn’t run from your fate—if you try then your life will feel like a big mistake when all the arrows point one way, you know the path you’re supposed to take. So now you know there’s no excuse. Be smart with the life you choose." Lindsey Troy

I feel much obligated right now to post something because apparently 2 or 3am is when I am most inspired. I also think that I am slacking with my blog, I apologize. I haven’t been able to take wonderful photos nor do I get much sleep. Therefore, please excuse my grammatical errors. The title of this post is not based on the Def Leppard song, but it is from Lindsey Troy, who is a singer/songwriter based in L.A. that I discovered way long ago through the very talented photographer, Tyler Shields. Both are inspiring artists.

I promise an outfit post soon.

BETTER THINGS ARE COMING. I SWEAR THERE'S TRUTH IN THAT.

brooklyn was alive & burning on june 29, 2010. i've been to many many many shows before, but i have to say that this one will be very memorable. passing out on the train both ways, the smell of nyc air, ice cold beer, spilling beer, breaking my camera to a crowd of brooklyn hipsters, new shoes, eyebrows threaded, watching the world cup at grand central, fashion police, dancing the night away, jammed packed by brklyn hipsters on the subway, ending the night at a ukrainian diner where nick & norah was filmed ♥ the night could not have ended any betterrrrrr.

NOIR ET BLANC.

there is just something about this picture that says a whole lot. looking at life through images is worth a thousand words, but that has been such an old hobby. it's time for me to actually explore the world myself, and i will do it for myself...one day.

more noir et blanc.
